SECTION- II

Q.3 Translate any TWO of the following paragraphs into Urdu:

(a) The preparation for this journey was made at the house of Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A). Hazrat Asma (R.A) rendered useful services in this regard. She made necessary arrangements and prepared food for this journey and tied it on the camel back with her own belt when nothing else could be found. For this service, she was given the title of Zatun-Nataqin by the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

(b) “We are a nation,” he affirmed three years before the birth of Pakistan, with our own distinctive culture and civilization, language and literature, art and architecture, names and nomenclature, sense of values and proportion, legal laws and moral codes, customs and calendar, history and tradition, aptitude and ambitions. In short, we have our own distinctive outlook on life.”

(c) Sometimes I have thought that it would be an excellent rule to live each day as if we should die tomorrow. Such an attitude would emphasize sharply the values of life. We should live each day with gentleness, vigor, and a keenness of appreciation which is often lost when time stretches before us in the constant panorama of more days and months and years to come.

King Robert Bruce ruled over Scotland. He had been defeated many times by the English. He ran for his life and hid himself in a cave. He had lost all hope to win. As he lay there, thinking if he should give up his struggle or not, he saw a spider trying to reach its cobweb in the ceiling of the cave. It fell down again and again but did not give up its attempt. The little insect reached its home in its ninth effort. At last, this gave courage to King Bruce. He made up his mind to fight and this time he won the battle.
